MBC Meets with the Governor of San Luis Potosi and Ambassadors in Abu Dhabi

During Governor Gallardo's tour of West Asian countries, the event aimed to promote San Luis Potosi as an attractive destination for foreign investment.

 

The recent meeting between the Mexican Business Council in the UAE, the ambassadors, and the Governor of San Luis Potosi has generated enthusiasm and expectations about possible alliances and mutual support to encourage business growth in the UAE.


Held at the Mexican Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the meeting highlighted the growing interaction between government entities and the private sector, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to strengthen their economic and cultural ties.

 

Key figures such as His Excellency Salem Rashed Alowais, Ambassador of the Emirates in Mexico, and His Excellency Luis Alfonso de Alba, Ambassador of Mexico to the Emirates, underscored the importance of these meetings in deepening diplomatic and commercial relations.


The Chairman, Mr. Rafael Villalona, and members of the MBC in UAE Board of Directors, Ingrid Orozco, and Rodrigo Antillon, were present to generate a clear understanding and detect the critical points of the needs of both nations. 


The Governor of San Luis Potosi highlighted the state's competitive advantages and progress in recent years, emphasizing its favorable environment for business and foreign investment.


Main Objectives of the Meeting:


The primary goal was to explore new opportunities for collaboration between the State of San Luis Potosi and the United Arab Emirates, focusing on strengthening friendship and economic ties. Key points included:


High interest in exporting products from San Luis Potosi, such as wines, distillates, and agricultural products.


Broad interest from Emirati companies in investing in clean energy generation.

Potential meetings with mining companies, recognizing San Luis Potosi's significant potential in this sector.
